Trading foreign exchange (forex), CFDs and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for every investor. Before you use OpenForex, make sure you understand the risks below and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
1You can lose all of your money
Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. A small market move can cause large losses, margin calls or the automatic closing of your positions by your broker. Depending on your broker and account, losses can reach your entire balance.
2Automated and AI trading risks
- AI can misunderstand a strategy, make wrong decisions or behave differently in market conditions it has not seen before.
- A rule that looks right can still lose money. Rules do exactly what they say — including in situations you did not expect.
- Software errors, internet or VPS outages, a closed terminal, expired Licenses or server downtime can delay, skip or duplicate signals and commands.
- An EA can keep opening positions while you are away. Monitor your account and set money-management and emergency-close rules.
3Execution and market risks
Prices can gap over your stop loss, especially around news, weekends and low-liquidity hours. Spreads can widen, orders can be filled at a worse price (slippage) or rejected, and your broker’s rules, commissions and swaps affect your results. OpenForex does not control your broker’s execution.
4Backtests and past performance
Backtests and historical results are hypothetical. They are calculated after the fact on past data, may not include every cost, and can be over-fitted to the past. Past or simulated performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
5Marketplace bots
Bots in the marketplace are created by independent Creators. A publication review checks a listing, not its future profitability. Do your own research and test any Bot on a demo account before using it on a live account.
6Prop-firm and broker rules
Analytics such as daily drawdown, overall drawdown and consistency rules help you watch your account, but they do not replace the official rules of your broker or prop-firm. Breaking those rules can lead to losing a funded account even if OpenForex shows a different number.
7No advice
OpenForex is a software tool, not a broker or investment adviser. Nothing on the website or in the panel is financial advice. Consider your experience, goals and financial situation, and seek independent advice if needed.
8Before you trade live
- Start on a demo account and watch the AI decisions in the logs.
- Run a backtest and compare it with demo results.
- Use small position sizes and clear stop-loss and money-management rules.
- Check that trading these products is legal for you where you live.
